About Cheryl Dawes
Dawes Does Right

Get to Know Me
I am excited to be running for Parkland County Division 4 Councillor. Parkland County has been my home for more than 30 years, and this community means everything to me. I offer a perspective shaped by my farm upbringing. My understanding of farm needs ensures agricultural interests are represented in decision-making.
I am a retired teacher from Blueberry School, where I had the privilege of working with local families and helping young people grow. Now retired, I believe it’s time to give back to the community that has given so much to me. My vision is simple: building rural strength for today and tomorrow – because DAWES DOES RIGHT, I AM YOUR VOICE!
My husband, Graeme Dawes, is the owner of Brandz Marketing, and together we live on an acreage in the county. We are proud parents of two children and grandparents to two wonderful grandchildren. Family and community are at the heart of everything I do, and they are the reason I’ve chosen to step forward in service.
Over the years, I’ve seen many changes in Parkland County. I believe the time has come for fresh ideas, new perspectives, and a strong focus on the future. I want to ensure our county continues to be a place where families thrive, businesses grow, and rural values remain strong.
